Outline Extension feature...

Hi Phill,

As discussed on the call this morning, here is a blurb about what the Outline Extension feature is:

You can add items to a Notes database outline control and configure Notes to call your API program each time the user interacts with one of these outline entries. The API program must be a Windows DLL that provides a outline add-in function. Install your DLL on the Notes workstation and configure Notes to load your DLL when the user starts running the workstation. Notes sends messages to your outline add-in function so that your function can extend the database outline and respond when the user selects your outline entries. This is currently only supported for non-Java based outlines.

You can find more information in the Lotus C API Notes/Domino 8.0.1 User Guide in Chapter 11-16: Outline Add-in Programs. Currently the 8.0.1 version of the documentation is not posted to view on developerWorks, but you can download the 8.0.1 API (including documentation dbs) here:
